Parkinson’s Disease

Helping people with Parkinson’s improve mobility, maintain independence, and live with greater confidence.

Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, coordination, and daily function. It occurs when the brain produces less dopamine, a chemical responsible for smooth and coordinated movement.

Although Parkinson’s is a lifelong condition, rehabilitation can help people remain active, independent, and confident for longer.

Common symptoms may include:

Motor symptoms:

  • Slowness of movement (bradykinesia)
  • Muscle stiffness
  • Tremor
  • Balance problems
  • Changes in walking or posture

Non-motor symptoms:

  • Fatigue
  • Pain
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Changes in mood
  • Cognitive changes

We support people at all stages of Parkinson’s, from newly diagnosed individuals to those with more complex needs.
