I cannot praise them enough – the receptionist at the clinic who was truly wonderful – being both highly professional and knowledgeable and who also could not have been more helpful and obliging (a model example of how other practices should be) and we were also treated by a Physiotherapist called Anna Bennett (Vestibular therapy in this instance) whose whole demeanour, knowledge and professionalism was so impressive we immediately booked another member of our family to see her too.

"My son Andrew suffers from Friedreich’s Ataxia. He recently sustained an injury which caused a steep decline in his condition. Sikander visited Andrew and after a thorough assessment gave him some simple exercises and sent a report to Andrew’s GP. "
The report has been very beneficial in prompting other NHS departments to provide the treatments Andrew needs. During Sikander’s follow up visit today I could see a significant improvement in Andrew’s ability. Sikander has provided an extension of the exercises to aid Andrew’s further improvement. Sikander showed a good understanding of neurological conditions and treated him with dignity and understanding. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to someone in a similar position.

ANNE – STROKE
"When I got up one morning, I felt like I was in a spin dryer. I fell back on the bed and couldn't move."
The GP came out and diagnosed “severe vertigo”, gave me some tablets and mentioned “head movements” might help and left. My son googled for help and found Nicole Lavin which is local. We were so relieved they make house visits and so Anna Bennett came to assess me. She quickly diagnosed that unfortunately and unusually I had 2 problems.
1) The crystals from the inner ear chamber had come out of place.
2) I had Neuronitis.
She manoeuvred the crystals back into place which had to be done before I could start my exercises for the vestibular rehabilitation. Anna was professional and very supportive. I can’t recommend her highly enough or say thank you enough for getting me back to normal life. I have already recommended her 3 times to others with similar problems.
