Bio
Jen is a dedicated Neurological Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals through personalised, evidence-based care. With extensive experience across both NHS and private healthcare settings, she is committed to empowering patients to maximise their independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Jen graduated from the University of Bradford, although her journey into physiotherapy began several years earlier when she worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant within an NHS stroke rehabilitation service. This early experience ignited her passion for neurological rehabilitation and provided valuable insight into the profound impact specialist therapy can have on an individual’s recovery journey.
Following qualification, Jen worked in a variety of junior and senior rotational roles within the NHS, gaining broad clinical experience before specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions, developing advanced skills in assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation delivery across different stages of recovery.
Alongside her neurological practice, Jen pursued a long-standing personal interest in movement and exercise rehabilitation by completing APPI Matwork Pilates training and becoming a qualified Pilates instructor. This additional expertise has enhanced her clinical practice, allowing her to incorporate movement-based rehabilitation strategies that support strength, balance, flexibility, and functional recovery.
In 2022, Jen moved into the private sector, where she has continued to expand her specialist neurological expertise. She has undertaken postgraduate training in the Bobath Concept and further developed her skills in Neurological Pilates, combining contemporary neurological rehabilitation principles with Pilates-based approaches to help patients achieve meaningful functional outcomes. Her ability to integrate these specialist techniques allows her to deliver highly individualised rehabilitation programmes tailored to each person’s goals and abilities.
Jen has extensive experience working within adult neurological rehabilitation and has developed particular clinical interests in stroke rehabilitation and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). She is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care and values building strong therapeutic relationships that enable individuals to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey.
Jen is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN). She remains committed to continuous professional development and delivering the highest standards of neurological rehabilitation through evidence-based practice and lifelong learning.
