Bio

Natalia qualified from the University of Bradford in 2020 and worked within the NHS acute wards and rehabilitation sector. Natalia quickly found her passion for adult Neurological Rehabilitation, particularly Parkinson’s Disease. She moved into the private sector in a more specialised role and has developed the Parkinson’s Disease service at Nicole Lavin Neuro Rehab and is now working in the role of Parkinson’s lead therapist.

During the pandemic, Natalia explored ways to keep patients active whilst remaining safe. She set up virtual exercise classes via telehealth and found ways that her patients could continue with their rehabilitation plans. By request, some of the virtual classes are still on offer today.

Natalia has been heavily involved in service development at Nicole Lavin Neurorehab and has recently taken her own passion in climbing to a new level, completing a climbing instructor course and an advanced adaptive climbing course. She has worked with Parkinson’s UK to set up and lead a climbing group for Parkinson’s in West Yorkshire.

Alongside her work with Parkinson’s patients, Natalia has experience working in adult neurological rehabilitation, including Stroke and Functional Neurological Disorder. Natalia is one of the qualified aquatic therapists at Nicole Lavin Neurorehab, completing the basic and advanced hydrotherapy course for neurological patients. She often uses the properties of water in hydrotherapy as a treatment modality for her patients.

Natalia is an active member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN). She is also a qualified climbing instructor and has successfully completed her adaptive climbing course.
