Bio
Liz graduated from the University of Bradford with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2023, having previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and Physiology at the University of Leeds in 2019. Her combined academic background gives her a unique understanding of human movement, exercise science and rehabilitation, allowing her to deliver evidence-based, personalised care to people of all ages and abilities.
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist, Liz has worked across a range of NHS rotational posts, developing broad clinical experience while building a particular passion for neurological rehabilitation. She has worked with individuals with a wide variety of neurological conditions in both acute hospital settings and community services, supporting patients through every stage of their rehabilitation journey. Whether helping someone regain independence following an acute illness or supporting longer-term management within their own home, Liz is committed to helping people achieve meaningful improvements in their function, confidence and quality of life.
Liz has a particular clinical interest in neurological conditions including stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal cord injury, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and Parkinson’s disease. She has developed a specialist interest in hand and upper limb rehabilitation, recognising the significant impact that upper limb function has on independence and participation in everyday activities. Her treatment approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation with collaborative goal setting, empowering individuals to maximise recovery and achieve goals that are important to them.
Alongside her neurological practice, Liz also works as a Specialist Hand Physiotherapist, treating complex hand and wrist conditions. This specialist role has further enhanced her knowledge of upper limb anatomy, movement and rehabilitation, allowing her to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for people with both neurological and musculoskeletal presentations affecting the hand and upper limb.
Before qualifying as a physiotherapist, Liz built extensive experience within sports rehabilitation, drawing on her background in Sports Science and her personal involvement in gymnastics, trampolining, yoga and Pilates. She has worked within private musculoskeletal practice, helping people recover from sports injuries and return safely to the activities they enjoy. Her understanding of exercise prescription and movement analysis continues to play an important role in her rehabilitation approach today.
Liz has completed additional postgraduate training with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) and is passionate about making Pilates accessible to people of all ages, abilities and health conditions. She believes Pilates can be a powerful rehabilitation tool, helping to improve strength, balance, flexibility, body awareness and confidence in movement. Within the clinic, Liz delivers both small group Pilates classes and personalised one-to-one rehabilitation sessions, tailoring each programme to meet the individual’s goals and abilities.
Known for her warm and encouraging approach, Liz enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships with the people she works with. She believes that successful rehabilitation is about understanding what matters most to each individual and working together to create realistic, achievable goals that support long-term health, independence and wellbeing.
