Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
Helping people with FND rebuild movement, reduce symptoms, and move forward with confidence.
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) causes neurological symptoms without structural damage to the nervous system. The brain has difficulty sending and receiving signals correctly, leading to symptoms that are real but not caused by injury or disease in the traditional sense.
Common symptoms may include:
- Weakness
- Tremor or abnormal movements
- Balance problems
- Non-epileptic seizures
- Difficulty walking
- Fatigue or sensory symptoms
- FND is more common than many people realise and accounts for a significant proportion of neurological referrals.
Importantly, FND is treatable, and many individuals improve significantly with the right approach.
Early intervention can lead to excellent outcomes. Our aim is to help you achieve meaningful, functional goals and maximise independence, for anyone living with FND.
